I am not in a 4g area right now so I couldn't give any speeds to compare but since I always see threads on how fast everyone's phone is, I thought this was a perfect time to throw in my submission for slowest dl speed ever recorded. LOL.

4G is pretty significantly impacted by every factor... range from tower, topography, walls, network saturation...

I no longer have screen-shots of the speed tests I took since I've flashed my phone so many times. I live in Sunnyvale, CA and I usually average around 18mbit up and 9mbit down and the 4G can be slightly spotty at times. In San Jose, CA the 4G is always connected and I have gotten up to 44mbit up and 16mbit down.

In SD I clock about 27 average on Eclipse, 28ish on Gummy and Tranquil, and about 15 on everything else. Doesn't make a lot of sense but yeah.

So the ROM you have makes the speeds differ that much? That can't be right
