I am rooted and running Eclipse 1.3 ROM. What is the best way to return to stock .173? Will booting into AP Fastboot and then running Matt's utility, option 2 I think, be the safest way?

The safest way is fast boot with matts utility or RSD lite.
Here's another option if your willing to try

Thanks for the reply. I saw the information in the link you provided. Once flashed, can you unroot that ROM?The safest way is fast boot with matts utility or RSD lite.

The best way to go back to Stock Stock-No root, nothing. Is to use the latest version of RSD Lite and flash the Fastboot files from the bootloader. I've bricked and boot looped a couple times and every time, this has saved my ass.

How and where do I get RSD lite and the Fastboot file you speak of? I am on the .75 ICS leak from last month (rooted). I like it a lot, but I don't want to be stuck with it when Official ICS comes out. How do I go back to .173, so I can be back on the upgrade path? Obviously once there, I will get the .181, which based on what i am seeing, I can deal for a few months until official ICS comes OTA.The best way to go back to Stock Stock-No root, nothing. It should reload the radios. That's happened to me before. I repeated the process and it worked.
