I have a Verizon Razr Maxx HD JB 4.11, stock rom, rooted. When using any of the numerous music players I've tried, the music cuts out briefly when I press the button to wake-up the screen.

I have never had this problem on any other android phone before.

Any suggestions?

I have had this issue across numerous roms with this phone, I'm not sure what causes it.

I've had this problem as well (I'm stock rooted). I use Widgetlocker as my lockscreen and that seemed to be the problem. By disabling root options (hide clock, hide system bar), the lag seems to be gone.

Are you using Widgetlocker or the stock lockscreen?

I am using widget locker! I'll try turning off the root stuff and report back tomorrow.

What player are you using?

If you're using playerpro or GoneMAD, there's an option to change the priority of the DSP processing thread. My old RHD had this issue, and that option fixed it. My replacement RHD doesn't have this problem nearly as much .I've only noticed it once today on my replacement, whereas my old one would be every other screen wakeup. I guess if it's such an annoyance, you can try exchanging it in the end.

Disabled Widget Locker completely and still had the issue. I'm using UberMusic, don't know what kind of settings it has...will have to look into that.
