But it will confuse anyone that puts their phone in the BL - because it says the device does not appear to be in BL.... :rolleyes

It used to.  So something changed.  Looking at you google.  Sounds like a bug on their end.

Possibly.  I do know that there was another revision to the platform tools, and I think that might have had something to do with it, because IIRC at least one function, if not more, was removed from either fastboot or adb.

 

I'll have to look it up again, it's been a while.
