Hello

Perhaps this is detailed somewhere else, but I am currently on 98.72.8 that I installed from the leak. I am also rooted. I was propositioned for the 98.72.16 OTA update this morning. I didn't want to even attempt without know that i could maintain root.

What is necessary to maintain root? I am already aware that I need to unfreeze system apps.

Can't you simply install VooDoo and save it there, then unroot and do the update?

I'm think I lost root until somebody figures out how to root this newest version (98.72.16) directly. I don't really have any desire to do the steps it would take to get back to root at this point. I was running the OTA Christmas Leak which I believe is 98.72.8. I was rooted using the RAZR BLADE method. I went ahead and accepted the 98.72.16 OTA update. The update went perfectly, however I lost root. I attempted to use RAZR BLADE to reroot with success. There was an error at step 3 stating a file already existed or something like that. I am wondering if the Smart Actions version is now too new for the exploit to work.

Yes, I am now rooted. The problem was that I was not selecting MPT for my usb connection. Also on e I did that it was hanging after step 4, this was because the phone was waiting for root permission. Long story short, I was always to root 98.72.16 using Razr Blade.

You mean MTP right? there's no MPT and i didn't think that was a step for razrblade I thought you needed to be in mass storage. correct me if im wrong.
