Hi all. Quick question, from someone who may have used both. I'm currently running the Droid Razr, am I moving backwards going to a Razr M? I am running Jellywiz on my Razr, but really the only features that I do use with root, are No Frill CPU, CPU Sleeper, WiFi Tether with SQL, and Titanium Backup.

So, would the M be an upgrade, or downgrade?

Also, can I backup user apps from from the Jellybean on Razr, and restore on the M?

Thanks guys!

I went from a RAZR maxx to a RAZR m I picked up on craigslist (read, keeping unlimited data, Haha) and I have been very happy. Battery life is very similar, surprisingly. I've noticed a difference in speed and snappiness. The only downside I've found is then limited internal memory, which can limit your number of slots using safe strap. I've usually only done one slot at a time anyway though, so its still manageable. The screen size is the same, and the phone is smaller and feels nice in the hand. Over all, I was pleasantly surprised. Just my .02ยข

I didn't try backing anything up, I usually like to start from scratch, to avoid potential issues. Perhaps someone else can chime in on that aspect

Perfect! That's what I was looking for. Thank you neck! I only run one rom at a time anyways. Now the M comes with the OTA JB update, correct?

On the unlimited data, my wife has the 2gb, I have unlimited, she took the upgrade. So I can just activate it under her line, and then deactivate it, and activate it to my line, correct?

No problem man. Since I bought mine off contract, all I did was take the sim out of my maxx and slide it into the M and power up. Then I grabbed the jellybean version of moto fail and I was rooted in about five minutes. Pretty painless. If you're buying on contract, I'm not sure how to juggle the lines off the top of my head. Sorry!

I purchased my M in the middle of January and it came pre-loaded with ICS. However, as soon as I turned it on and activated it, the JB OTA automatically pushed. I rooted using the exploit on this website, after the phone updated.

It's easier to root if you skip the initial setup process. Run the exploit, then complete setup.

Hey thanks Rik! So, can I use Titanium Backup, just for User Apps going from the Razr to the M?
