The other pertinent question is, how is your battery? If it is low, you will have probs. What errors are you getting when the flashing fails?

Have you tried downloading a fresh
or checked the md5 of the one you have?

You would need an MD5 checker utility to give you an MD5 hash of the file you downloaded and compare it to the hash on the droid-developers site.
Have you tried flashing the components individually?
