Been using the razr maxx HD for 3 days now. Came from a Galaxy Nexus. I am really not that angry that I can't root right now. Easy tether pro works just fine. Sure its not a wifi hotspot, but it lets me use my unlimited plan on my netbook in emergency situations.

It would be nice to have root so I could use AdFree or some adblocking equivalent.

Glad I am not paranoid schizophrenic or else that remote assistance app's lack of being disabled would be a HUGE issue. LOL

The user interface on this phone just works out of the box. No need to switch roms. I got 7 hours of screen on time, I didn't have to charge my phone for 48 hours. Life is good. (50% connected to wifi/ 50% connected to 4g) (funny how there is no 4g toggle, wouldn't want to bog down their 3g network just to make my battery last longer, and yes I know how to change it manually) My quadrant scores also beat the HTC One X.

Spoke with Motorola Mobility corporate on 4/1 regarding lack of webtop support. They stated "webtop no longer needed support due to improvements in our hardware/software configurations...our phones function as well as a computer..." and that "the lapdock 100 would function just fine without webtop".

Now how about a bounty hunt on porting webtop!!! :-)

I agree the HD is a great phone , runs pretty smooth on stock, and does not "require" a root such as previous models that ran out of RAM every 60 seconds . I am also glad to not be losing sleep on that remote app too, good call. However, it is my phone, I bought it, I pay for it, and I want the option to be the root user of my phone. If I wanted a locked down OS, I would buy an Iphone

I'm now rooted with UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS!.... Please support these awesome developers. They work tirelessly so we can do things like this.
And to think I almost sold this phone...
