We all know that times are tough and you don't just have a wad of cash laying around ready to be used on some apps. If you got your paycheck today, good for you. If you didn't, these two deals should help brighten up your Friday, or at least make your phone a lot more useful.

Tasker has been discounted to a very reasonable $1.99 (down from $6.49). Tasker is a very powerful app that is basically Smart Actions on steroids. It can control almost every aspect of your phone and automate it. There are so many things you can do with Tasker, like setting your ringer volume based on what time it is. And that's just the beginning. I just picked this app up and couldn't be happier. If you don't have it yet, you aren't getting the most out of your device.

Beautiful Widgets is pretty self explanatory. These widgets display time and weather, and do it in an elegant fashion. If you're looking for some good looking widgets to give you at-a-glance time and weather information, Beautiful Widgets will serve you well. At $1.69, its not too big of a ding on your wallet (or purse).

I've been using beautiful widgets for about a month. I was using HD widgets but beautiful widgets has more customized options.

Grabbed Tasker. Now it's update with the new UI. I had been using the beta and liking it figured I'd grab this on sale.
