Hello everyone. I have had my Razr Maxx since mid June 2012. I have only recently rooted the device and I am looking to flash my first rom. The device received the OTA JB update that officially came out last month or so (you all know these dates).

I was initially hesitant to root because I use my phone for business and I didn't want to run into any issues with it. Also, I do use a Lapdock 500 from time to time and I was concerned about losing Webtop 3.0. I know that it survived the JB update and with that I went ahead with root.

My motivation to root was initially based upon losing wifi tether. That has now been installed and I am happy with that.

I understand that CM10 does not support hdmi and apparently does not have webtop 3.0. What I would like to find out is if I can run it anyway on my device (using rom slot1) and, when necessary or if I need to use the lapdock, switch back to the stock JB version. Again, this is all new terminology to me. Would I need to wipe the device every time that I want to switch?

You dont have to wipe every time you switch slots. The switch is almost instant and should work pretty seamlessly in your scenario. If you have anymore questions don't be afraid to ask!

I can tell you from experience... I run a cm in slot 1, FlyingJelly in slot 2, and experiment with other ROMs in slot 3. Only time i wipe is when i flash the ROM. What's you've flashed you can switch between just by switching your active slot. No wipes needed.
