Homescreen Transparent App Drawer

OK thanks for letting me know. I'm just trying to understand why the ICS RAZR M homescreen stays transparent and can see the wallpaper in App drawer on any ROM that I install it on and it's different systemUi.apk on every ROM. I mean even if I install it on my AOKP 4.2.2 ROM it's transparent and looks like it's supposed to.

because the systemui.apk trumps the homescreen app...meaning if you make something transparent in homescreen but its also connected to an image or color in systemui that isnt transparent then itll be what ever systemui says. its hard to explain but if you think of it like making layers in photoshop then homescreen is the top layer and systemui is the bottom layer...if you make the homescreen layer opaque then you wont see the systemui layer, but if you make the homescreen layer transparent then you will see the systemui layer still. problem is i dont know how to make the systemui layer transparent...
