My first phone was a Motorola and I fell in love from day one. Android was in it's infancy, with root being as easy as downloading an apk from the Market and hitting "Root" and that was it. Android took off like a rocket without no plateau in sight. With new OS versions hitting the main stream the battle to control our devices has been a never-ending game of espionage and help from other talented individuals. Many have come and gone, some, still around with others never being herd from again. As a community we can have differences of opinion but in the end we all work towards a common goal; to be able to hack and play with are phones with are own discretion.

The original Droid 1 was one of the fist of a few devices that showed us what was possible with the " Android Operating System" .even today development for the D1 is still supported by some. Some can argue that @P3Droid was the poster boy for Verizon, with spearheading development and showing what Team Black Hat and himself could do with just one device. Ever since then we have been dealing with locked bootloader's .

Since the D2 all we've had is root for our beloved Motorola Devices. Every
so often a exploit was found to unlock a Motorola phone, but never on Verizon. Finding these root exploits is not a easy task to say the least. It takes a certain type of knowledge and determination to exploit each OS version. There are only a handful of gifted individuals that are capable of exploiting these devices.

Dan Rosenberg aka @Djrbliss has been giving free security info to Motorola and giving the rooting community countless exploits to root are device. Without his work I would not be writing this right now, for this site started with one phone and one root exploit, free of charge from Dan. Dan has never asked for a dime from know-one or expects it. He has taken a great portion of any monies received and donated a portion to the Red Cross. These selfless acts show what kind of person he is, a type that keeps on giving with the thought of others always being first. To put it in perspective, If Dan charged 9.99 to root your phone would you do it? 99.99% of us sure would and not think twice about it. So in this scenario Dan would be a millionaire! Letting that marinate in my frontal lobe really put things into perspective. Then talking to @P3Droid about it, he suggested I write something up.

Please don't think that I'm baiting anyone to donate to Dan, in fact if I messaged him on talk he would say "No, don't worry about it" The reason i'm writing to you is simply to shed light on a hobby that we take for granted sometimes. Many Dev's give countless hours of hard work just so we can have cutting edge technology and other cool hacks, tweaks, themes and more all for free. For example, Hashcode, Dhacker, Team Black Hat, Koush, Jrummy, CM team, AOKP team and hundreds more, No matter how big or small, what type of content, even the new guys helping a fellow newcomer out everyone deserves a little bit credit where credit it due.

Today, Dan "Djrbliss" accomplished a feat that was said to be impossible. He exploited Motorola's 256 bit encrypted bootloader for the DROID RAZR M, DROID RAZR HD and Atrix HD.

Many have tried all over the world and failed. Dan has proven yet again that he is a force to be reckoned with. We would nothing if it was not for this altruistic man. I tip my hat an say thank you once again for giving us everything that you do.

As a sign of @BBCrackman and Myself @DirtyDroidX , we extend our gratitude with a donation of $100.00 each to Dan.

Cheers,
DirtyDroidX

,To show a sign of your appreciation for the further development or just to say thanks, you can donate to Dan @djrbliss

I too marvel at this mans work every time he releases something. Truly a one of a kind guy. Amazing what he has given the Motorola enthusiasts over the last few years (and the Motorola security team too :P ) But all in all, Speechless!

This is an amazing feat and I donated early and often, like I vote. After spending nearly 16 months trying to break the X bootloader I am all teared up over this development. Give to those who give to you.

I definitely plan on donating to Dan as I have certainly benefited from his work. Also, I would ask those selling their RAZR HD or M, to consider donating. I'm sure Dan's work just increased your sale price :-)

Bumping so that those on Tapatalk and only look at recent are more less likely to miss this. Dan Rosenberg, Hashcode and David Hacker are three people we can never show enough respect or appreciation to. While there are many other great devs out there, they are the ones that have been the masters of this community.

Dan is the best. He has helped root a ton of devices many of which he did not own just to help the community. He is also very polite and helpful based on the interactions I've had with him over the web. Congratulations on a great accomplishment that no one thought was possible and thanks for all you have contributed to the android development community.

While I don't have one of the newer phones, I do have 2 bionics and a RAZR that are able to flash ROMs and it's because of your work in getting them rooted. Without Root, safestrap,ROMs, kezec would be pointless for these devices. Thank you Dan for all of your work !
