Ok. But I thought that before (perhaps July), there was a post saying that the most recent mototchopper wouldn't work with the new Android update.

July update breaks bootloader exploit the newest update is not rootable currently if your locked... all versions are 4.1... we haven't got a software version. Update....

I have a question: I am just curious if the HD comes with an unlockable bootloader out of the box provided I don't accept/install any updates that come? Or has Motorola started shipping these devices with the latest firmware already on board? Has anyone out there received a replacement phone post July-ish?? I'm just curious because sometimes I can convince Verizon and/or Motorola to send me a replacement phone.

the only way you will have. An unlockable bootloader out of box is to buy a dev edition from moto

Hi I just want to say thank you for the Motochopper root tool. I have a generic tablet (Dragon Touch Elite DTR97) it has a rockchip RK3188 and jelly bean 4.2.2. I have been searching for days without luck, been on all the android sites, tried everything I could find, nothing worked. Then on one post another member suggested motochopper. I came over to your site joined and downloaded the file. Extracted and ran the run.bat file, worked like a charm on my tablet the first time. I have root!!!!!!, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your work on this tool. Is there a donate button here somewhere?  ;)

LMAO.  The fact that this was made for a version of Android like 3 versions back and doesn't work anymore?

And there's not likely to be one, either.  Is it possible?  Sure, but, likely?  Not really.

That's weird, because I rooted and unlocked my wifes xt907(non-developers edition) with 4.1.2. I will find which exploit I used.

My Razr HD 1.3 XT926 goes through the rooting process, but instead of succeed, it shows failed - already exists

Used rootchecker and it says my device is NOT rooted.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Kevin :(
