I'm in the small percentage who took the 4.1.2. update and lost my WiFi. My phone was rooted in ICS but lost it upgrading to JB. I understand that some sent there phones to Moto, who I assume reflashed it, to fix the problem. Don't really want to do that. What are my options?

You should start fresh on 4.1.2.
Use the fastboot files and then the new root method if you want.

Thanks for the info. Do you have a link where I can find the fastboot files?
