Just wondering if this was possible. I know that these phone have sim cards and if I switched to another network for a cheaper price each month would I still be able to use this phone. Thanks for your help.

There has been much discussion on unlocking devices and switching to other carriers..... it is possible to actually do it, but you may want to take a look at these threads first

hi i live in Brazil, wanted to know if the razr xt912 verizon can be unlocked for carriers here? Because here there is only GSM networks not supported CDMA Networks

You cannot unlock the boot loader on the xt912. The xt912 is a global phone, you can replace the sim and should be working on the gsm network just fine in a foreign country just not in the US.

I understood then only need to unlock the device was if I need to use the CDMA network from another carrier.

 

I do OTA updates that device? or so through Verizon?. I read that they are already launching Adroid Jelly Bean for motorola razr 912
