First rule of soak test is you don't talk about the soak test..... But probably not, I think we will see a few ics leaks before they start soaking ics.

I got my invite as well but not holding my breath on this being ICS. Only time will tell but it seems like there would be a few more updates before ICS hit. I hope I am wrong but at this point thats just how I am feeling.

I was doing some grocery shopping at BJ's this evening, and my toddler was getting restless sitting in the cart so i seized the moment and took him with me to look at tablets at the verizon booth. Checked out the white razr on a whim, and looked at the software version. It was one i hadn't seen yet. Not 744,748,173, or 181. The kid started to scream, so i had to bail before i could take a pic. I'm gonna go look again tomorrow just to verify, bit i thought it was something like 6.12.908??? Is this something new, or an old version I'm unaware of? I could be off a couple digits, because of the screaming squirming toddler i was carrying lol. Just caught my eye is all.

...then there's the possibility that ICS for our Razors will 'permanently' break root, like was done to the Droid 2 and X. Thanks, but I'll sit back and let someone else be the lab rat this time!!

where is the update.zip cached? i'll pull it and send it to a dev if i figure out where the F they put it.

i'm going to re-root (just fastbooted back to stock) and protect root via voodoo. hopefully it's ics... if it's friggin GB heads will roll...

The only reason I want official Moto/VZW ICS out is so our wonderful devs can have full ICS hardware supported ROMS to mod. Drivers/sources/etc. No way in hell I'm gonna risk breaking root and having to (if I even could) fastboot back to 173/5/7/whatever. The ICS roms out now are more than wonderful for a daily driver.

I think it is normal for the display phones to have a different software version.

I suppose that makes sense, what with the demos and such. I never noticed before though. Haha

Normally after they send the invite emails, a couple days will go by before you get another email with details like that start date. I say normally because i have seen them send the invite emails, then start the soak the next day. It all depends on their time line. But i would expect to see a email with the start date tonight or tomorrow sometime and then the soak would start Tuesday. Don't hold me to that though, I am just speculating based off past soak tests.

I have been thinking the same thing. I have been searching all over to see if anyone has seen anything about it. Other than the invites, nothing new yet.
