I just plugged my RAZR MAXX HD into my computer over USB, and I got this message:

I'm a little confused because I thought plugging it in would only cause updates to the Windows drivers, but the thing that says Current Version: 9.1.41... and New Version 9.16.6... makes it seem as if it wants to actually update the phone. What is the deal with this? I'm paranoid because I unlocked my bootloader and I'm suspicious they are trying to re-lock it or something. Ever seen a message like this on your PC?

Yeah I got this too right after the update came out, but I was running Vit 1.9.3. I believe you can uninstall Moto Device Manager without uninstalling the drivers... could be wrong though!

That's what I'm running haha. This is the only time I've ever gotten a message like that. I cancelled it.

If on windows 7

Look at bottom right system icon tray

Click on small arrow pointing up

Right click on 'Motorola Device Manager'

Place cursor on 'When Device Connects....'

Check 'Do Nothing'

I don't think that effects the software update prompt that happens. I'm not at home, but I think I've already got it set to "do nothing." It's not big  deal anyhow, it only happens on ROMs that are based on 4.1.1.

That's for media sync and the backup manager popups. Doesn't affect update checks. However when you plug it in each time it does give you the option to not check.
