Home button no longer works

So longer story short.. ended up screwing up the build.prop and my phone wouldn't boot. So I tried my safe strap backup (restored system only) and my phone booted, but solely to a black screen.
So I faatbooted using Matt's utility and didn't wipe. I lost root (expected) tried to reroot it failed (I'll work on it in morning, does unknown sources have to be on? Was in a rush and forgot to check)
And now my home button does not work at all! But it lightly vibrates when I touch it
Edit: no notifications work either. Checked using lux, gmail, and handcent
Edit 2: pressing power button results in ONLY power off showing.
I take it ill need to Fastboot and wipe?
Whats the fastest way to fastboot, root, and restore from titanium backup. Preferably with as few clicks as possible
