Their link is down, but it has started being pushed and there are links that you can download.

But you have to carefully follow directions if you want to keep root

Although many people did this successfully, a few did lose root, and the update is not rootable at the moment, so do it at your own risk.

This may be a stupid question, but the download in the link posted above is meant to be flashed through the stock recovery, correct?  If I install the Voodoo OTA RootKeeper and flash the JB update through recovery, it's essentially the same as taking the OTA update if it'd been pushed to my phone.  Would the root keeper still work, or is it only meant for those that take the update when it's pushed to their phone? I'm not new to flashing, I've been doing it since my T-Mobile G1 days, but with all the things I've been reading concerning those who've updated and lost root, I thought it'd be safer to ask a possibly noobish question.  Thanks in advance.

Yes, in theory.  Many people have done it successfully, but like I said, a few people ran into problems and lost root.  It should work, but you have to know going in that there's a possibility that it won't.

Also, make sure the su binary is up to date.

Thanks for the response.  I have another question, though.  If for some reason, God forbid, things go completely coocoo, can I FXZ back to ICS using the                Blur_Version.5.9.905.XT875.Verizon.en.US(67246).zip, and if so, can root be regained using one of the many rooting tools available for ICS?  I think read that might not be possible, but again, better to ask and look a little foolish than to assume and look like a complete noob :p

No. There is no going back to ICS.

I think I read that someone is working on a fxz for JB.  Does anyone know when it might be available, if it is indeed being developed?

I think it is more like leaked/released or found type of situation. Also it gets here when it does there is no way to know if it will be days, weeks or months.

FXZ files come directly from Motorola. Not usually quick about it. Eventually they will release it to certain developers. That's usually how they get into they forums.

I applied the update and still have root :) :D   I'm in the middle or restoring my apps with My Backup Root as I type.  The only downside is, my favorite ROM backup won't boot.  I thought deleting and restoring the backup would work, but I think it's just because it's an ICS ROM.  Or, I did till I tried to flash Overdrive 2.3, which I think I remember being a JB ROM.  Either way, no biggie.  I may try to reflash Icarus 1.8.3 or another JB ROM through Bionic Bootstrap just for kicks.

ICS ROMs will not work with JB.
