This is the Bootstrap recovery specifically designed for the ICS Leak. Credit goes to DHacker at droidhive.com for this wonderful, fully working recovery.

*WARNING*
If you used "Voodoo OTA Root Keeper" to backup your root before flashing to the ICS Leak, you need to open that app back up and use it to delete the "su-backup" before you will be able to restore a nand backup.

Everything works with this recovery EXCEPT mounting USB mass storage. There is another post for this recovery by DirtyDroidX which can be found here:

I am simply editing my post for the people that were following this thread and not his.

As of this time, there is no known way to reboot directly into recovery without using this app.

Instructions:
Download the apk and place it on your external sdcard (or internal sd, either one). Then install the apk.

Open the app and press the top button to install the recovery. It will ask for root permissions, then you should be greeted with a popup that says "Success." If you fail to get this popup or do not get the root permissions request, you are NOT fully rooted and need to go through the entire process again to flash the ICS Leak.

Now press the bottom button on the app to reboot into recovery.

*DISCLAIMER*
Myself, DirtyDroidX, DHacker, Droidrzr.com and droidhive.com are NOT responsible for what you do with this recovery. If your phone melts or explodes it's on you!

Download link is posted in the second post. Obviously you have to at least skim through the first post to see this so please, do not post on the last page asking where the link is.

I couldn't believe it when it booted into recovery. Even more shocked when I was actually able to flash a zip file with it successfully. This is awesome lol!

I wonder if you did a nandroid backup, fully stock and rooted, if others can take that zip, push it to the SD card, and restore, as an easier method of getting ICS?

Just an innocent question, are you aware that Hacker stated that you cannot use hard buttons with the touch recovery or it will freeze requiring a reboot !!! ;)

Good idea...but wont happen.

Nanodroid backup remembers /system.....you would leave out radios/kernels etc.

Guys you gotta read all 3 posts. I installed the touch recovery but it wouldn't work at all. I then installed just the regular bootstrap recovery that you have to use the hard buttons for. I believe I posted the link in post 2 or 3. The Beats Audio zip that I flashed is one I have on my phone from XDA. I'll post it later today.Post 2 has the link for the recovery that works.

what if your already on the ICS leak, but you are failing miserably at retaining root? then would that work to keep root?

The restore option hasn't been tested so I don't recommend doing it. I'll test it out later today though.

I got bootstrap recovery working too! The way i kept root was NOT temp unrooting before the update and then i just installed the Bootstrap.apk from Razr Utility 1.42 and its working :)
also this might help a few people get root if no one seen it
