I'm attempting to install the latest Nexesque rom from TWRP and I get the following:

E: Unknown File System: 'datamedia'

Updating partition details

Installing '/external_sd/Nexesque_RazrHD v3.0.zip

Checking for MD5 file...

Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.

Flashing file 1 of 1

/external_sd/Nexesque_RazrHD v3.0.zip...

That is all. It has been sitting like this for nearly an hour now with no change whatsoever. What do I do? Is there some way I can abort?

This is my first custom ROM so I'm obviously new to this. I did do a backup with TWRP before I started, but I don't know how to get out of the current screen.

No I didn't know that was required?

How can I abort the current flash sequence so I can at least go back to my backup, or retry with system mounted?

Yes it is required.

Umm.. You can try holding all 3 buttons for 10 sec and see if you can get it to power off then go back into bootloader/recovery and start again

I did but just don't recall anything about having to have system mounted. What does this do anyways?

Well lesson learned. Make sure you have system mounted in TWRP before flashing ROMs. Thanks for your help everyone. Phone is up and running Nexesque 3.0 and it is SMOOOOOTH as silk. I love it.

Note that the bolded only applies if you are flashing a ROM that was originally made for installation on Safestrap.
