The OP stated to place both files in cache . SO we need to have both files ?

follow the directions. If you need better details they're in my updated news article but Vicious gets the credit. I'm just more clear in mine.

Be careful. I got my dropbox suspended on saturday for sharing this stupid file lol.

Too how many people though? :P Dropbox usually only bans for excessive bandwidth usage.

I recommend es for my method. I'm sure there will be a more efficient method sooner or later.

Just wanted to clarify.
Might be a good ideal to add how to use terminal to regain root in OP.

So that I don't get excluded from the next soak I'm gonna participate in this one. But you better bet I'm installing ICS later tomorrow. Any big issues?

Yeah, I'm dealing with the soak too, also gives time to see how successful people are with this method.

I'm wanting to do this to my gf's phone, but I don't want to SBF. She's on 173, with a few bloatware apps. I wonder if that would effect anything negatively. I don't remember if I restored back to complete stock when I installed ICS when the leak first came out.

If I'm not mistaken, it will skip you since you will have altered your system after registration is completed.

I'm in es file explorer and i put the two files in /cache using root explorer but I can't see /cache in es. I can't use root explorer it just extracts the zip.

Tried RTB, but I couldn't find any easy way to get it to attempt to flash the .zip. I might just not know what I'm doing well enough in it. I normally use it for build.prop tweaking, root browser, and a couple other features not flashing.

Yeah. I did that but don't I need to protect root? If I do that won't it erase root?
