Are they on your external SD? Try moving them to system/media/audio/ringtones or notifications.

For some odd reason, my phone keeps forgetting it's ringtones. I set them through either the factory system or chomp sms and it works great for about a day...then, at random, it goes back to a default ring and when i look it says "unknown ringtone" or some numbers in the ringtone box. What is going on? I'm about ready to deep six this sucker!

I do, but it doesn't give me the option to say "thanks". I'll try to get on my computer later and do it.
