wait.  So the superuser .apk is the only thing that is there, the hone itself is not rooted?

Hmm.  So you unrooted the phone without removing superuser - now you'll need to root in order to remove superuser b/c it is in /system which requires root in order to add to or remvoe from.

Well I can't find it in my apps so far. I deleted everything before I took the OTA. The OTA is what made me lose root.that showed back up in my apps for some reason. I uninstalled updates on it and disabled it earlier and i havent seen it since .is it gone? Or do i need to root again ? How do i make sure its gone?

If you disabled it then it wont show up in the app drawer. If you where you disabled it at and its still there that means it still installed but not enabled. If it is a system app root would be required to remove it as I dont think a factory data reset will remove a system app. Unfortunately there is not root exploit for the Bionic on JB at this time. Might have to fxz to get it ready to return to VZW.

You lost root in the OTA. The Universal Unroot only can remove root if you are rooted.

Use the DROID RAZR Utility.

And if you've taken the OTA, then the best way to get rid of that would be to FXZ your BIONIC to the JB update, which will wipe the /system tree recursively, getting rid of anything that is in there and replacing it with only the stock apps.

Did you actually download and extract the FX?  It's not included in the HoB setup - read the links he put in the first page on exactly how to use HoB....

o) Create a 246_FXZ directory in your HouseOfBionic directory
o) Copy the VRZ_XT875_6.7.246.XT875.Verizon.en.US_CFC_01.xml.zip to the 246_FXZ directory
o) Run the HoB

i opened the HOB and made a new folder named FXZ and copied the FXZ into the new folder . i guess i dont understand where or how to put it in the HOB

you named the folder incorrectly.

It says:

  • Create a 246_FXZ directory in your HouseOfBionic directory (You named it FXZ, not 246_FXZ)
  • Copy the VRZ_XT875_6.7.246.XT875.Verizon.en.US_CFC_01.xml.zip to the 246_FXZ directory
  • Run the HoB

If he already took the JB update he can't use the 246 fxz. He will need the .22 fxz.<br /><br />Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br /><br />
