I'm starting to think that if phone is on battery reports fairly accurate. This is while having phone on and no power down or reboots, i put phone in dock at bed and use as backup alarm clock. But today went into recovery and battery seems to be off now.

Maybe rebooting or powering off the phone is somehow breaking something with battery stats?

Only issue thus far is I lost root and can't get it back even with dhacker's method...flashing back to .173 tonight and trying again. I fell asleep before charging my phone last night so I can't comment on battery level reporting since I haven't used it from a full charge. I have the HD dock and it doesn't go into the unlock screen...but it did freeze up on my the first time I took my phone off and had to do a hard reset, but other than that flawless, runs pretty smooth, no issues with BT either. I did do a factory reset right after flashing.

Did you factory reset before or after you tried to restore root?

I also noticed handcent isnt pulling people's pictures from facebook or default. kinda strange, they were all there before the upgrade, and all contacts pictures are ok when you pull up the contacts.

Lol, hope you get it.
I could stand some of the blur icons, especially the messaging one and needed root to change it. Haha.

I take it you tried clearing cache, data for camera.
Maybe factory reset. I know it doesn't sound pleasant.

No it doesn't. I will give it a try tonight when I get home. I'm just hoping there is another way.

Lmao. It happened to me yesterday. I was 45% and rebooted back with 5%. I stayed on 5% for 5 hours without phone dying so I got tired of waiting for it to die so i plugged it to outlet and went to bed

I believe powering off or rebooting phone will throw battery off.
Last night put it in dock to charge and left it on. Took it off the dock this morning and put some heavy use, screen on of over two hours and playing music for an hour and a half and has been reporting battery consistently. Put it on charger while phone is on around 15% and no sudden spikes whle charging.

So best option for now is try and avoid rebooting or powering off the phone during normal daily use. If you need a recharge and do it while phone is on.

Since we got the leak, can developers use their magic and make this ICS leak a better Rom? Can they work with the leak or not doable

Some are, but it is a completely new base so they need time. Just be patient.

A dev would have to look into the bug and see if something can be done about it.
You could restart it when ever you want. The errors don't seem to affect the battery or phone, just what we see as far as percentages.
