I took the OTA update the morning it was pushed to my phone because I was too excited that it was JB, and forgot to backup my su. A bunch of threads here tell you how to regain root but only if you have voodoo's backup or something else. Can't find anything on not having a backup at all. My superuser app still exists, but updating the binaries just yields to a failure of gaining root access.
Is there a way to regain root after 4.1.2 update, if I don't have an su backup?

Please read the boards. There is plenty of info on this kicking around. To answer your question not yet but it may be coming shortly.

With no binary backup, you cannot restore root. There is a root bounty going with a potential exploit coming soon.
