The title says it all. This is just a Deodexed build of JB that can be flashed in Safestrap. It is mostly meant to be a base for devs but can be used as a ROM if you want it to. This build isn't debloated, just deodexed and pre-rooted.

Enjoy!

You must be on the jelly bean update for this to boot!

quick question. I screwed up and accidentally wiped my stock JB rom. i tried restoring with my backup onto the stock slot in SS and i can hear the bionic bootup sounds but the screen stays black. i restored the same backup to slot 2 and it works perfectly. tried re-applying the backup to the stock slot and still had the same result. i really don't want to fxz and go through the hassle of rooting, so would this rom be sufficient to run in my stock slot?

and just to clarify, i wiped system, cache, etc before attempting to install the stock jb backup. i have no clue why it successfully boots on a regular slot but not the stock.

Also, I dont know if this would work but I or someone here could upload our nandroid and you could try to restore that... I think that might work.

I would think you could give it a go but I wouldnt get your hopes up. I mean, if you have the nandroid backup you should be able to at least safely try it since you can restore the nandroid if it doesnt work. Even if your nandroid doesnt work, it obviously restores enough files for you to boot another rom in a custom rom-slot.

I may be mistaken but I believe you try restoring someone elses JB OTA nandroid and see if that works. But Im not entirely sure.

I'm just running this rom in slot one now. It wouldn't install into stock, and my backup doesn't work in stock either. I guess this will do, just wanted to have my "stock" slot working.

No. Do not try it. Safestrap shouldnt let you flash over it, and bootstrap will kill your root access. Best to just stick with a ROM Slot.

I tried it before I read your reply and it didn't work but I got lucky and still have root.  I did work in slot 2.

Thanks,

Marty

How hard would it be to make, or is there any interest in making a stripped, clean, debloated "stock" version of JB? I had problems with the OTA making my phone laggy. Ive rooted and installed blurry and have similar issues, phone is just not very responsive.

You can take the zip, open it, go under system/apps delete what you don't want, also under vendor/apps, do the same. Then install.
