true but many folks do not have there bootlaoders unlocked. And honestly that is a problem on the site as of late IMO. To many ppl ASSUME everyone is unlocked and that is NOT always the case. And seeing as I do not want to see ppl with bricks on there hands I get VERY technical in asking questions or commenting as it is very important at times specially if they are not unlocked

Oh yea I'm fully aware of that and that's why some people flash something blindly not knowing what their doing I always read something 4 times before I try it lol

When you say back to stock which build. The 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 build? Reason i ask is i think some of this confusion comes in when ppl say " back to stock" well stock what. The originally software the device shipped with, or stock of the most current OTA software. That said its CRITICAL to now what ppl mean by stock as some updates you can not flash backwards from.

i-freaking-dentical problem here.... like it couldnt get more sppot on.... cant rsd lite $#!+. unlocked and at a black screen currently charging. which utility do i use? i DID OTA but that was on my STOCK slot which i erased and tried flashing over which caused all of this. so what your saying is that i charge my phone and then use matts 1.20 utility????????

Yes if you took ota and your unlocked you can use either one just get into ap fastboot and use the utility but if your not unlocked and you took the ota use 1.20 only

And please read before you try to flash on stock slot you can't flash on stock it's a safety feature to keep you from doing it but it is possible read this

i cant figure it out man im starting to get pissed actually.

i run the 1.20 utility and it says that blah blah blah is not an internal or external command wtf is that???

You did not unzip the Utility to a folder on your desktop. You are trying to run the Bat file from within a compressed zip

now i try and run it and my computer freezes haha. proof that god does not want me to fix this $#!+....

can i have a list of what is required on a machine to run this utility succesfully so i can do it at work?

 

 

edit: i ran the utility with no errors but i still got the same problem.... custom boot image from a rage rom and then the ss screen followed by a black screen... utility (unlike other attempts) ran perfectly with no avail. what am i supposed to see if it worked?

Correct utility for the JB version you are using, correct drivers installed on PC, unzipped utility folder.  For RSD Lite, correct FXZ file, current drivers, RSDlite 6.1.4.

fixed my issue  just flash 4.1.2 if you did ota in the past on a soft bricked razr m. if that doesnt work im sorry but your screwed.

You can use the 4.1.1 utility if your unlocked on the ota as well
