Ok so I have this razr and when the OTA for JB came out a few months ago I messed up my whole safe system side. I did not have a backup, I dont even know if this could be the problem. Now I'm here trying to fix my mess and i can't even get the phone to go into fastboot.

Is there anyway I can flash the fastboot back on there at all or is there someone out there that is willing enough to let me use their safe system backup for my phone.

Also the power button is shot on this thing so any stock recovery suggestions will not work because I'm unable to select anything from the menus. I can get into the bootmenu though

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Well, youre gonna need to get it into fastboot mode to recover. With phone off, hold both vol buttons and then hold power for 8 seconds should get you into Recovery. Then use the vol down button to scroll and the up vol button to select fastboot.

From there you need Matts JB utility. Option 1 will flash the latest JB onto the phone and then Option 3 will root you and Option 4 will install safestrap.

But as I said, you will need to get into fastboot mode.

Just remembered that you can get to Recovery via adb commands, so you should be able to get into recovery that way if the buttons fail.

Phone with USB debug enabled, NOT Mass Storage mode so in MTP mode, then go to where you have adb and the commands would be:

adb start-server

adb wait-for-device

adb reboot recovery

Oh trust me I know how to boot into fastboot from the phone itself and from adb neither of these options work. i just get a phone with a black screen once i select AP Fastboot Mode. RSD Lite doesn't see the phone then either.

its almost like fastboot doesn't exist on the device anymore. Would you happen to know if wiping my safe system in safestrap could cause this?

I have never heard that happening from a Stock being wiped.

alright that's what I thought but I wanted to make sure, so it seems like I'm having deeper issue. have you heard of being able to reflash a fastboot on these with adb?
