I'm new to CM/AOKP. Now that we have CM/AOKP-based roms for this phone, I was wondering if people have favorite themes that they could recommend.
Favorite CM/AOKP themes?

I'm running cobalt gunmetal on my tablet, and was running it for a while when I had a CM build on my phone.

I don't know if I can use Cobalt themes, because I use the Yahoo Mail app (I've had a Yahoo account as my main email for like 15 years) and I always have it in my dock, and it sticks out like a sore thumb among the themed apps since he didn't theme it lol. I know this is a personal problem, but just saying.

You could email and request that he theme it or perhaps use the gmail icon instead?

Good idea. I'd have to use Nova Launcher or something though right?

The default launcher in CM/AOKP should allow for the icon change as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that is true of CM (Trebuchet Launcher) but perhaps not AOKP since it doesn't come with an in-house launcher?

You're totally right, I always install nova right away! Lol
Well the default launcher for AOKP seems very basic, I would use a better one if I were you.

I've yet to find a theme that converts Yahoo. When I was using Yahoo, I just dealt with it, but I've since changed over to GMail. I'm using a stock based ROM on my phone right now, so I can't use a theme chooser. Because of this, I've sideloaded BBoy's blacked out Play Store, FB, Google Now, GMail, Chrome, and Instagram.I don't know if I can use Cobalt themes, because I use the Yahoo Mail app (I've had a Yahoo account as my main email for like 15 years) and I always have it in my dock, and it sticks out like a sore thumb among the themed apps since he didn't theme it lol. I did find one that themes it: Crystal 2. pretty nice theme too.
I'm currently using Faded Blue. It gives a nice theme to status bar, Google search bar, power menu, etc, but it doesn't theme the icons so you don't have that themed vs. non-themed issue.

Some themes will change icons, others will not. Also, you can change the entire icon set with most aftermarket launchers or you can do them individually.
