Yeah that would work. As was said above chrome became stock at some point(possibly on JB) so you may need an ICS rom

I like chrome but the stock browser worked better for certain Web sites.

it's been since a july update that the razr's stock browser has been chrome...so yes, you can use chrome instead of chrome on your hd

It should be fine if you can find an apk.

I believe he meant the old prior to chrome stock browser

the hd has always had chrome as the stock browser, the og droid razr got chrome as the stock browser with ICS, but as has been said before, if you can find the apk for the original browser on the original droid razr, you should be able to use it no problem
