last week i downloaded jellybean and manually updated. used voodoo, retained root. all is good. 

 

did a factory reset yesterday. lost root. thought i could re-root with

Well your big issues was using an HD utility for your bionic. Best thing to try is rsd lite and the JB bionic fxz or Sam's HoB. If you use the HoB just make sure you read, read, read.<br /><br />Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2<br /><br />

i did the same thing buddy- figured data wipe doesn't touch the system partition so root would be fine but totally lost that $#!+ lol. luckily we had root the next day
