This "homescreen" service keeps running. If I freeze it in Tibu, i cant use the homescreen at all. The service says favorites contact widget, but Im not using that widget. It has avg 44-62mb of memory usage. How can I stop this?

That's your home launcher. Download apexlauncher from the market and then freeze it.

No, homescreen is actually the blur home launcher. You will have to install another home launcher from the market then you. Can freeze it.

ok. I installed the ICS leak. Is the apex launcher close to the ICS launcher? If not, what is?

Yes, apexlauncher is very close to ICS launcher. It has some additional features. Its one of the best ICS launchers out right now.

I installed it and am trying to rebuild my homescreens. I am having a hard time with the widgets. The text of them isnt showing up in the box. I tried to place them in the screen but it says apex has to be installed as a system app. How do I do that?

The text is an issue with the app itself. To add widgets on home screen long press on screen and add widgets that way.

As far as installing it as a system app you can move the app with root explorer or you can try and flash my themed apex launcher zip I did for Gummy Blue Demon with bootstrap. All it does is install apex to system\app. Its up to you.

Well you can use swipe actions to hide status bar or show screen previews. I use those.

Have you tried clearing cache, data or force stop the app in manage applications?

Thank you very much for all the help.

you can back them up in the apex settings for the future so you don't have to set them up again.
