Are you mounting system prior flashing??

I'm having the same problem, although I mount the system prior to flashing and it says successful. After flashing and "rebooting" I get nothing but a black screen and I have to boot it manually into safestrap recovery. Any suggestions?

Yeah, stop using SS if you're unlocked. If you're using SS on a locked device, you don't need to mount anything. If you are unlocked, get rid of SS and use TWRP or CWM exclusively.

If you are mounting system first then wiping anything on the device before flashing odds are that is the problem. Wipe everything first, then reboot recovery to follow up with mounting system then flash the ROM

So I uninstalled SS from the stock app remover but I can still boot into SS. How do I completely remove it? My apologies for replying so late, been pretty busy lately.

Reinstall safe strap and uninstall the recovery within the safe strap app.
