I found this on Motorola's website today. Now the regular HD dock is 99$ but u vant fit the maxx in it. So they have this one for half price, for us maxx owner's. I'm guessing if you have a regular RAZR, you can use this to. You might have to put a case on it or wedge something in it, so it don't wobble around. So if your in the market for one of these, this is definitely a good buy.

That's a darn good deal.....Amazon has the regular Razr HD dock for $49 w/ Prime shipping available for us Prime members.

I wanted to get a lapdock at one point but I think I may get this HD dock instead. Thanks for posting this.

ETA: Just for those not in the know (as I myself wasn't) this is the Dock, not the station. The Dock is 49.99 for both the Razr and Maxx while the Station is 99.99 for both the Razr and Maxx. The difference is the HD Station comes with three USB ports.

It opens up tbe webtop application, just like the laptop dock does. The phone displays a screen for the pointer on the TV and pops a keyboard up to type in selected areas. So basically you can stream movies, games and full Internet access. I have one with a BT keyboard and mouse. So i can type emails etc etc. In other words, it is a turns your tv into the laptop dock.

Yea you can take the plastic piece off. I took the one off mine so my phone would fit with the case on it. A maxx should fit with that piece off. I love hooking my HD dock up to my TV. I just need to get a keyboard and mouse so I don't have to use the phone to type and junk.

I know this is old but why do you use the dock to connect to a TV?

With GB, You had to use the dock, or a webtop adaptor/dongle, to activate webtop for use on your T.V. With ICS you don`t need a dock, Just plug your HDMI cable directly to the phone, and you have the option availible. With the .84 build, the mousepad on the phone auto rotates now too. Pretty cool!

Got it. I never used webtop until .75 so I wasn't sure.
