Hi guys,

So I'm actually posting about my girlfriends Razr HD.  She bought this phone months ago and I've helped her put SS and new ROMs on it and now we want to use the new ROM's that need the new Kernel and we figured it's just easier to stop using SS and use TWRP like any other phone.  However, I did this so long ago that I don't remember what are the right methods for RSD-lighting back to a stock ROM, so I was wondering if you guy could help.

Here's the scenario:

  • Currently on 4.1.1 (I believe) on the stock rom slot
  • Using SS
  • Currently running Nexesque (which needs the 4.1.2 kernel for Wifi to work)
  • Is actually the XT925 (I know there's a GSM forum, but the XT926 ROMs are SO much better!)
  • Bootloader unlocked

We want to:

  • Get rid of SS
  • Update to 4.1.2
  • Flash TWRP
  • Flash Nexesque again

Can anyone point me in the right direction?  I remember finding instructions to install SS was a pain in the rear end since we have the GSM version.  Also, I've long since switched to using BBOS10 so I'm not as savvy with Android anymore...  The more detail the better, thank you very much!

Awesome, thank you, that worked great except that now I'm not getting any cell signal.  I was on Verizon firmware before, but was still able to get signal.  I'm not sure why it doesn't work now.  Will flashing a Rogers Radio make it pick up signal again?  (Once again, I'm using all the XT926 firmware on my XT925 device)

Can someone help me? I have a XT925 with stock veryzon 4.1.2 (XT926 firmware). I'm stuck in fastboot mode, my Bootloader is LOCKED, thats really weird because I was unlocked before I've tried to update via OTA (my phone y bricked after that OTA update fail). I tried to flash Retail Brasil JB and some other firmwares via fastboot and RSD Lite 6.1.5 with no results... this is what my fastboot screen shows up:

Device is LOCKED, Status Code: 0

Battery OK

Connect USB

Data Cable

downgraded security version

update gpt_main version failed

failed to hab check for gpt_backup: 0x35

failed to load GPT

CID Read failure

Invalid CID status 0x69

No SP partition found

Fastboot Reason: Invalid GPT

Hope you can help me :S

Ok. Of You were unlocked you would still be unlocked. That doesn't go away by flashing firmware. Secondly, what the error says is that what you are trying to flash is an older security firmware than what you currently have and it will not let you roll back. You will need to flash the 4.1.2 comparable to the 4.1.2 you currently have. Since the flan failed your device will boot into fastboot until something flashes successfully. You can simply flash a boot logo and it will clear the fastboot and you will be back to where you started.

I couldn't flash anything and I ran out of options and battery so I sent my phone to Motorola. Maybe in 7 more days I can see what they say, hope they didn't notice that I unlocked my bootloader :s

I also have this issue.  I can fastboot reboot and it goes right back to the AP Fastboot screen with the previously mentioned error.

When I try to flash a new logo I get:

sending 'logo' (854 KB)...

OKAY [  0.074s]

writing 'logo'...

Invalid partition name logo

FAILED (remote failure)

finished. total time: 0.206s

Furthermore, when I try to RSD I get different failures:

with Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.98.30.1.XT907.Verizon.en.US the error is:  Failed Flashing Process. Unknown fastboot command. (getvar)

with Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.98.16.3.XT907.Verizon.en.US the error is: Failed Flashing Process. Unknown fastboot command. (getvar)

with Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.98.16.1.XT907.Verizon.en.US the error is  Failed flashing process. 1/19 flash partition "gpt_main0.bin" -> Phone returned Fail

with Android 4.1.2 Blur_Version.98.15.66.XT907.Verizon.en.US the error is Failed flashing process. 1/19 flash partition "gpt_main0.bin" -> Phone returned Fail

I am really stuck here.  Anybody have an idea?

Their device list shows razrm.  I'm guessing posted in the wrong area.  However, they have NO clue about "flashing different versions" and why that's "ungood".  Fix the XML file by removing the getvar lines and flash the proper FXZ.
