You'll have to run it and see :)

I don't own this phone and it hasn't been out long enough to tell. It'll take some time.

Just like you're flashing a ROM but no wipes.

So you just flash this right on top of whatever ROM and you're g2g? Does it matter if it's a 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 ROM?

Yep, flash right over and you're good. Has to be over AOSP 4.2.2.

Well it's exciting to have kernel development for a moto device for obvious reasons and I'm sure roms will be a dime a dozen for this device soon (which is great don't get me wrong) but I'm assuming kernel development will be more rare. So it's great to have u back with your particular expertise.

Question... I'm on mikeyinids overclocked aokp right now. And i understand if you're off the opinion that overclocking is pointless, far be it from me to debate that with u but, his kernel also has a minimum of 192 mhz. Do u think that has battery saving potential? I personally am more inclined to underclocking for battery life. What do u think?

It does have battery saving potential, the lower the frequency the less mV the CPU needs, the less power is consumed.

That was my assumption. Good deal. Is that something u might consider doing for this kernel? And why exactly is overclocking pointless? Even under heavy usage or difficult tasks?

Yeah, I'll probably add more frequencies. Uses more battery. Most of the time there is no visible increase in smoothness.
