So, I've had this issue where I can't maintain root (for whatever reason) when upgrading to the ICS leak.
I follow the sideload instructions to the T.

When I try and update my SU Binaries, I get the following error:

Failed to download manifest. Check Internet connection

Downloaind manifest.... FAILED!

Downloaind manifest.... FAILED!
Downloaind manifest.... FAILED!
etc....

My internet works fine for everything else, even OTA updates.

I've googled the crap out of this issue.
Tried connecting to a new WiFi - and even going off of 4G - Didn't Work
Went to System/bin/ and Deleted SU - Didn't work
Tried RSDing / Factory Reset - Didn't work
Even tried not upgrading Superuser - Still nothing.

I'm kinda at a loss as to why my SU is failing.

Any ideas?

Maybe you already did this but update su prior to installing the leak

I'm running the ics leak installed with rom manager. Decided to check the su binary, and when I did it says failed to download manifest. Check internet connection. App version is 3.0.7 (41) binary is 3.0.3.2.

Also when I use rom toolbox to reboot I get a message saying superuser is not running.

I tend to question things I disbelieve are true. Some people cannot handle that. Sorry if you are one of those people.

I can say that its not because of the rom. I am on a fresh fast boot of rooted stock and am getting the same error. I have been trying to figure out what is going but come up with nothing yet.

I noticed that there were 2 threads made with the same topics but in different areas of the site. I have merged them so that as new information comes out, all participants will be able to check it out in one place. If there are any questions just PM me and I will happy to answer them.

Update: it seems that su was installed, but wasn't. Voodoo said wasn't rooted so I restored and fixed that problem.

Mine is now updating. As was stated, I think it may have been a server problem. If you are still having issues you may want to try emailing the dev.
