No I don't think I want to get into that sort of thing. Need to get more familiar with my new root powers before I get in over my head.Did you unlock your phone as well??

I just got the titanium ap and don't quite understand it all but will see how it works. Flashing ROM's is a little out of my league at this point. It is usually better to "freeze" bloatware instead of deleting.... u can use tibu (titanium backup) or similar app for that .... however IMO it is usually better to just flash a custom ROM as most of them have been debloated anyway....:)tapadriving...... hillbilly style

Unlocking also greatly depends on your device..... for example the OG RAZR (xt912) cannot be unlocked while the RAZR HD xt(926) can

I understand you're concern. But just fyi (not to scare you). I would unlock now while you have the change. If moto or vzw decide to find some way to stop it in the future and you accidentally end up with an updated SW version, then you will not be able to unlock.

His profile shows the M that's why I asked. Don't forget we have the funny world of ROMs that don't go both ways
On tapatalk of course you can't see the entire profile so I figured I'd throw that out there just in case LOL

Alright so I decided to pay for the titanium pro so I can backup everything. I froze a few junk apps like NFL and other things I know won't mess anything up. Very cool app BTW and let's not forget a special thanks to the man that made this all possible who I will be sending some love to soon. As far as unlocking the boot loader goes I see the point about being able to do it before a patch comes out. My biggest concern is it will void my worantee and although in not 100% on this the root isn't something that's checked for so it doesn't void. Guess I just need to weigh the pro's & con's before making any more big moves.
Unlocking your bootloader definitely voids your warranty.

I will follow this by saying the only definitive answer to that are those with developer editions utilizing the Motorola unlock website in which you agree that you are voiding your warranty by doing so and your imei is registered as such. There have been a couple of reports of folks who have sent in an unlocked device under warranty repair and had no issues thus far BUT that does not mean it won't blow up for the next guy.Unlocking your bootloader definitely voids your warranty.Alright so I decided to pay for the titanium pro so I can backup everything. I would run under the assumption that it does to play it safe.
