I figured the answer would eventually come out, but I've googled it like once a week for the last 3 weeks and I can't find much. I've had several people ask if I'm working on an upgrade to the nexesque ROM, but I'm not sure it's worth the effort.
maybe upgrade it to aosp 4.2.2 i was thinking of doing that for FTTF but i would need to retheme it lol its someone elses theming i would rather make my own rom and theme on 4.2.2 more worth it.
but im sure someone will know and comment im guessing its nothing personally.

I guess it's not that big of a deal, but WHY WHY WHY? I must know.

That's pretty much what I expected to hear. Where did 9.16.9 come from then? I know mhouse has been uploading it for his DST ROMs, but why the change in version number?

I appreciate you trying to find out. I wonder if the new update mentioned around on xda is worth it.

It's an unreleased maintenance release. There was a change to the system partition and that's it. It's theorized that it fixes a swype issue but I don't believe that was ever confirmed. Nonetheless it's NOT a major update to anything and not officially released. Whether you bother with it or not is up to you. It got "leaked" by those who have access to the FXZ's. I'm told there is another 4.1.2 (yes you read that correctly) MR in the works that will be released OTA. Come on, Moto...get with the 4.2.2 program already. SIGH.

Wow really.you would think that on the verge of the 4.3 release a company owned by Google could work at updating their own phones.

You would think, but, you'd be wrong. I don't think we'll see 4.2.2 until late July or August....sadly. Good thing we have roms.

What's pathetic is that 4.3 is still Jellybean.

And we still don't have 4.2 in sight. SIGH.

Thanks for this, now I may rest. 4.2.2 would be nice, but like you say... It will probably be a while. It's nice that development has been revived a bit, though, so at least we have that.

I'm thinking that whatever phone they wanted to release with 5.0 probably wasn't ready for primetime, so Google will wait for the holidays and keep doing jb minor updates until the next nexus wave hits.

Well, "got" is somewhat relative. The leak for the international version is out there but does up the counter just like a rom would, so, I'd not consider that much of an official version....yet. It does show that it's being worked on and has some pretty sweet features.

International versions though, not US CDMA devices. Although it IS being ported as we speak.

Would this leak be of any use to us HD users or Hashcode s kernel development?
