This is something i have decided to start doing on my spare time when I'm bored haha. Since finals are over and i don't have another class starting for a couple months, i needed something to do. The title should be pretty self-explanatory, this thread is for apps that i have themed/inverted during my spare time. I will have multiple colors of each app i decide to do. Zooyork is now a contributor to this, so be sure to try out his stuff!

 

I take absolutely no credit for the development of these apps! These are taken straight from the play store and are themed by me (or someone else if you may wish to contribute your work). Any app that i do is free, so that means there will be NO paid apps that have been hacked.

I will also take requests because I'm only currently doing apps that i use lol, so i need ideas

If you would like to contribute any apps that you have themed, let me know! The only rule is it cannot be a hacked paid app. And of course full credit will be given to you for what ever app you want to add  Please note that the names next to each app are the people who have themed/made it. The ones with no names beside them are the ones I have themed.

Notes:

• When you open a story in drippler, it still has the stock look. It seems to be pulled from a server (similar to why you can't theme everything in a browser).
• Chrome (or any browser) cannot be fully inverted due to pages being pulled from servers.

Install Instructions

 

• If the app doesn't successfully install over your currently installed version, uninstall the app and install the themed one
• Anything that is a zip, flash it
• Anything that's an apk, it should install as a normal apk

Quick question guys (then we can get back to enjoying your work LOL )...... I was trying to do my own theming on an app...(just simple icon change) to "test the waters" so-to-speak.....since I have not done any editing on any market apps yet, only framework-res and systemUI..... I was able to decompile and edit the icon PNG just fine...... but no matter what I try... it refuses to compile (I will pastebin the error log as soon as I get a chance so you can see the specifics)

Hoping you all might have some insight

Sometimes it depends on which apktool was used (ICS vs JB) and there are some apps that just cannot be compiled again. Weatherbug happens to be one of them. I tried editing it to disable their very annoying ads that slow down the performance, but it cannot be done :/ So some apps just can't be messed with unfortunately. What i like to do is decompile then compile it right away to see if it works before i go and waste my time working on it It's a good practice in my opinion

That's kinda what I was thinking..... just wasn't 100% sure..... the app I tried was the pilot truckstop app...... and I tried with a couple different versions of apktool.... as well as VTS and elesbb's apktool GUI......

I even tried using 7zip to basically just replace the PNG etc...... even that was a no go..... I guess they just don't want the app messed with LOL
