I got it too, except I cant make it work for some reason. I have bootstrap installed and I was able to get it off (That was what was causing my first problem), but now the install gets to a certain point and stops. I think I'm going to do a restore and then try to do the update again. Well see...

Make sure to backup root and then temp unroot before you install the update.

I did that... I'm using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper. Believe me, I don't want to lose my root, that would be bad, lol...

I had bootstrap installed no issues. I see new CDMA radio but idk bout LTE radio gotta check pics. I did not temp unroot prob y it didnt restore, but terminal commands fixed right away!!!

Idk, maybe I changed something else that I wasn't supposed to. If I did, I don't know what was changed. I'll just stick to my original plan, it's a pain but I can deal with it.

I was in the soak and installed it while unrooted and was able to use Matt's 1.51 tool to root 181. Shouldn't need OTA Rootkeeper.

Thanks for the info, I was planning on using Matt's utility to revert back anyways. I'm just waiting for the updated version to download right now...

Just manually checked mine and downloaded and installed now here in central Pennsylvania. Successful update and restored root via rootkeeper.

It's live in SC as of 6:30AM...so I'm gonna say it's safe to assume it's in the wild now.

I'm new to the RAZR...no more LG Revo for me THANK GOD...anyway, should I be cautious, root first, use rootkeeper, and then install the update? Or has more than one person verified that DRU 1.51 will root this just fine (no offense got556...like I said, new and cautious).

EDIT: Well, I figure since I'm basically starting fresh, I have nothing to lose but 30 minutes of my time if got556 turns out to be a Motorola/VZW black ops agent spreading misinformation. ;-) So, performing update on stock, unrooted .173, then will attempt root with DRU 1.51 and report my results.

Applied update on stock/unrooted .173, then used DRU 1.51's GB Root option and it completed successfully, Superuser is on my phone and all seems dandy. I apologize for doubting you, got556.

Now I just gotta figure out what I'm gonna do from here haha...With this update, will I be unable to install most ROMs or should this have no effect on that?

Has anyone tried to install ics leak on top of .181 thus-far? If not I will try but wanted to check if anyone else has tried
