Hello,

I'm not sure if the battery, charging port or possibly both is toast. My phone was at 30% and all of the sudden it went dead (within 10 minutes). This happened a week ago but I was able to charge it back up. The white light would come on then.

Now I plug it in to the wall charger and the white light will only come on if a barely push the cord in. This leads me to believe the port is bad, however if I plug the cord into my laptop the white light will come on without issue but doesn’t seem to charge battery (I’ve left it plugged in for several hours and nothing) This morning I had it plugged into the factory wall charger with cord barely pushed in and was able to get the white light on. Charged it for about 5 hours and still nothing.

I've heard of guys taking the back off and hooking the cable straight to the battery.

Do any of you guys have any ideas? The phone has worked fine for the 5 months I have had it. I bought it used so no warranty, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Typically the RAZR won't charge on the computer......

My RAZR does not ever display the white light when plugged in.....

Have you tried a different charger.....

Does it display the battery charging animation when you press and release the power button when plugged all the way in....:)

You need to plug your phone into a wall charger, the white light will come on then turn off, this is normal. Let the phone sit for about 2 hours, then with the phone plugged in still, hold down the power button until you see the red M. Phone will boot back up.
