May sound silly since its. A brand new phone but..... maybe try using Matt's utility first to "nuke and repave" then try rooting again.....

I had a replacement of my RAZR from Verizon. My old one rooted very easily this is my third android phone (DX, T-bolt, now RAZR) so rooting isn't a new thing. So my problem is I used both programs we have for rooting. And both fail at the su command to and that file and bring the superuser app over. I am at a lost. Any advice would be great.

Do what Hillbilly said, your SmartActions was probably updated so getting the exploit to work would fail if thats the case. You can try to remove the update, by going to Manage Apps, select SmartAction and see if there is a delete or remove update button (I forget what it should say), and then try rooting again.

OR, as hillbilly said use Matts utility which will wipe the phone an reinstall JB with the correct Smartactions so you can root, all in the utility.
