Ok....love these ROMS but the lack of GPS is really starting to kill it for me.

Ive read other people having success getting a lock, but I havent been able to get a lock for the last 3 weeks.

The one method that used to work was restoring a 4.1.2 ROM...obtain a lock then immediately wipe and flash 4.2.2 rom and use GOS status to obtain lock.

Well thats not working anymore, anyone got any tips?

That method has always worked for me.  I get a lock on any stock based ROM, keep GPS and maps turned on when I reboot into recovery, and then flash an AOSP based ROM.  It also works if you go from one AOSP to another, as long as you have a lock prior to flashing.  I would back up whatever ROM you are running now and flash a fresh stock based ROM and get a lock on it.  If you can't get a lock on stock, then there's another issue.

I have never needed to do this method because as soon as in download a ROM I use gps status to download the a gps data and get a lock. It has a always worked for me.

Yeah, I think that would be the quick fix for the OP.  Today was the first time in a while that I loaded a backup to get a lock.  Attaining a GPS lock is in my "prescribed procedures" for ROM flashing, but today I just forgot about it.

Ive tried the GPS status method too

It used to work, then right after I formatted my internal storage...it hasnt worked since....

Although i dont recall if using the stock ROM method I ever left it locked when I rebooted....

Ill give it a whirl and report back....thx

If I have the  no GPS issue I make nandroid backup of the 4.2.2 ROM, then flash a 4.1.2 rom, get a lock then restore the backup, no wiping.
