I think this is a perfect example of what skinning should be. It takes the skeleton that AOSP provides and polishes it; the key word being "polish", not "Alright Freddy, tear it all down. No, it's all got to go. What do you mean 'people like it'? We'll tell them what they like. No, you know I don't care that people complain non-stop about the changes we make. Those idiots don't know what their doing, overhaul time."
Moto (and most other OEMs for that matter) could take a page out of ASUS's playbook. It seems they kind of got the picture with their ICS release, but they still insist on cramming what seems to be the icon equivalent of badly drawn anime down our throats.
