So i'm relatively new to all this, But i feel like i'm finally getting the basics of flashing ROM's and the different recovery's. In the process of learning i have a lot of crazy things going on with my phone. like ungodly battery drain, space on my external_sd and my /sdcard magically gone?? and a goofy kernel. All from teaching myself how/why android software and motorola hardware work. AND A HUGE THANKS TO ALL THE DEVELOPERS AND TESTERS For actually answering the numerous amount of questions i've had.

My question now is how do i do a complete and thorough clean sweep. i'm talking sd card, cache, stock.  and all new EVERYTHING????

You're welcome :) ..... as far as the kernel, I'm not as up to speed on that as maybe I should be LOL ..... I will defer that to someone more knowledgeable

like me :p lmao

they are not the same kernels, very close but you cant use a HD kernel for M. i would think the most stable is Stock but im not sure too much about Razr M development i think there is an OverClock kernel though. i know HD has one, can clock up to 2.0 ghz

Not sure about Blur but the kernel for AOSP based ROMs for the M and HD are the same.

okay so I think I messed up. I used Matt's utility but I'm not sure if my phone was at 100 percent. Whenever I use matt's utility now it never gets past the waiting for device prompt. The first time I used it it found my device. It got to system and said there was 30000 something KB's. And I left my phone plugged in for like an hour and the command screen did nothing else so I thought it was done And unplugged it now whenever I try to boot my phone it goes into AP fastboot and says failed flash now Matt's utility well not even recognize my device. What do I do

If you left it plugged in to computer while in ap fast boot you may have a low battery..... It should say on the fastboot screen "low battery flash failure" if it is in-fact low ....

I can go to the boot menu and pick factory but it has a question mark in the battery symbol and it won't pick up my data network...

It doesn't say low battery. But why I sent the utility working. I pick option 1 and it sayes hit any key to continue. So I hit it and nothing happens. Then I mash the keyboard out of anger it sayes waiting for device. now mind you my device is plugged in with AP fast boot on.

Okay let's check a few things... Did you extract the Utility to your desktop using WinRar or the like?? Are you using the USB cord that came with your phone? Moto drivers installed?? Try a different USB port?? Reboot PC and phone??

Check all that and then try and run it again..
