I had that issue way back with arctic HD ROM (ICS ) ..... what fixed it for me then was to lower the settings (from 8mp to 6)...... but does it do it on stock too?

Hey Alex, long time no see! If it's happening on every ROM including stock, I would honestly say that it seems like a hardware issue. Camera might just be crapping out. Alternatively, you can go into System Settings > Apps > Camera
Wipe app cache and data then reboot.
If it persists, it's probably hardware related.

I am having the same issue. Can you point me in the right direction in finding "the latest Kexec CM10.1"? I have tried the search but I keep getting the name in all the forum posts. I thought it might be some of the camera apps I use but it looks as though this would be a great fix. Any help would be appreciated.

So I found the download. n00b question. It says 4.2.2 and i am currently on 4.1.2. Will this DL update me to 4.2?

That means the ROM is 4.2.2 ..... it won't update your stock side
