So from my understanding, Google is pushing for on-screen buttons on ICS. Since my RAZR has yet to arrive, I figured I would just ask you guys already on the ICS leak.

How are the RAZR's capacitive buttons on ICS? Do you also have the on-screen buttons? I do not really have a preference between the two (maybe leaning a tad toward capacitive), but I do not want both. While I know the ICS you guys are running is not official, it is based off of a leak, so I am (maybe ignorantly) assuming that major features like this will be consistent between the leak and the official build. If the ICS build for the RAZR is optimized for the RAZR, does it take into account the fact that the phone has capacitive buttons and therefore limit the on-screen buttons to multi-phone apps (i.e. non-RAZR-specific ICS-exclusive apps)? I am especially interested in the home screen, where not only would capacitive + on-screen buttons be less attractive, it would also be redundant, at least in regards to the "back" and "home" buttons.

On screen buttons are only on devices where there are no other buttons. The idea is that on screen buttons are more dynamic, having the ability to be potentially moved around, scaled, themed, etc. You should not run into any issues with duplicated buttons in apps either, as the on screen buttons are provided by the OS, not by the apps. The apps function inside the viewport provided by the OS. With on screen buttons, this means they are provided a reduced portion of the screen, while with more traditional buttons they can simply be provided full screen.

Using on screen buttons on the razr is a bit weird looking, I still used them though haha

Man I like these buttons coming from the real buttons on the Charge.
