Hi! Is there an unthemed mostly stock 926 vzw rom that has a built in ota blocker, an expanded power menu, and can be installed from cwm recovery available? The ota blocker is the most important added feature I need. I don't want to wake up in the morning to find an unexpected ota got pushed to my phone and screwed it up. Thanks!

For OTA just install a recovery i believe you will be fine once you have a recovery besides stock you will be good

Well RageHD is unthemed stock. It doesn't have the power menu yet but that can be fixed with an app called Qucik Boot for the time being. You can easily go into the "ect" folder and rename "otacerts.zip" to "otacerts.zip.bak" and it will stop OTA updates.

I read several posts of people who did that on tbolt and still had ota pushed... which then screwed up phones. I'll wait for a dev to do it.

Not to knock on the devs, but I just came from RageHD. It's very slow compared to stock with frozen apps.

Pure hell with wifi, and the battery drained 20% in less than an hour.

I used it for a full week, long enough to go through the battery cycles, especially since it killed my battery by lunch every day.

not knocking developers definatly sounds like a burn.to me though. what apps are you running? cause ive used rage roms. not my favs but battery and performance have always been par or better than stock. im running stock right now and any rage rom outpreforms it by far

You are way wrong. Was using stock and was unhappy, now my phone is amazingly fast and stable and the battery is better than before. Try the latest RageHD rom.

When I was running Rage on my M, it was far better than stock.  Not to knock on the users, but 95% of the battery and lag issues are the fault of the user, not the dev.

People on the tbolt had also frozen 2 files supposedly preventing ota. It didn't work. I trust a developer to more completely alter rom to prevent ota than I could. Freezing updater may very well work perfectly. I just don't want to take the chance. I never heard of anybody running a custom rom getting an ota on tbolt. Of course some people screwed up. and intentionally tried to install an ota over a custom rom but that was their own fault.
